Sherin is Senior Manager of Legal Operations, an attorney with a background in litigation support and a passion for using her skills to support public interest law. At SJLF, Sherin supports the organization, attorneys, and fellows in its mission to use litigation to advance equity.
Sherin spent thirteen years in business litigation focused on eDiscovery and legal technology. Sherin comes to SJLF from Willenken LLP, a boutique business litigation firm. There, she worked as a staff attorney and eDiscovery Manager for both plaintiffs and defendants on complex business disputes, supporting teams from investigations through multiple trials. She also supported the firm’s pro bono practice on a slum housing matter.
Sherin’s passion for public interest work stems from her prior experience volunteering in a juvenile detention facility in college and more recently, co-founding and volunteering with Ktown for All. Ktown for All is a volunteer nonprofit mutual aid organization focused on housing and homelessness. Sherin helps support Ktown for All’s weekly outreach to unhoused neighbors in Koreatown, providing meals, hygiene supplies, and connections to services where possible.
Outside of work and volunteering, Sherin is a season ticket holder for the LA Sparks. She also enjoys cooking, baking, live comedy, and cozy mysteries. She is a regular fixture at the LA Central Public Library and around Ktown, which she firmly believes is the best neighborhood in the city.
