Mike recently graduated from UCLA School of Law with a specialization in the Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy.

His path to becoming a lawyer began in community organizing. In 2018, Mike co-founded Ktown for All, an all-volunteer organization focused on outreach and advocacy with unhoused residents of LA’s Koreatown neighborhood. After several years of volunteer advocacy, Mike decided to pursue public interest work as a second career. Before joining SJLF, Mike was an intern with the ACLU of Southern California’s Economic Justice unit, and a summer law clerk at the Western Center on Law & Poverty.

Prior to law school, Mike spent 8 years as a market researcher conducting survey research for major consumer brands. He has a B.A. in Sociology from Vassar College, and in M.A. in Sociology from the University of Southern California.

When not working, Mike enjoys board and card games, playing the piano, and spending time with his cat, Poughkeepsie.
