Foundation Is Hiring Managing Attorney

The Social Justice Legal Foundation is a newly formed non-profit organization with a goal to advance social justice by focusing on groundbreaking trial work and innovative collaboration across private, public, and academic sectors.

We combine private sector entrepreneurship, public interest expertise, and elite academic resources to bring a fresh approach to curating and pursuing trial work in support of social justice and equity.

Position Description: SJLF is seeking an experienced litigator and trial lawyer with a minimum of eight years of experience working in the private or public sector to lead our work and mentor a team of recent law school graduates. SJLF’s Managing Attorney will develop and manage high profile litigation matters, as well as coordinate the training and development of the team, including our fellows. Applicants should be highly resourceful and creative thinkers with the ability to excel independently, as well as on teams.

The Managing Attorney will report directly to the Executive Director.

Hiring Criteria: Exceptional legal writing, analytical and oral advocacy skills. An ability to manage teams, multi-task, meet deadlines, and create a collaborative workspace.  A proven record of handling complex litigation matters to successful resolution. A demonstrated commitment to public service or social justice work.
